Day 86 - Drysdale to Manning Gorge (Wed July 18th)

We headed further south today along the Gibb River Road, and ended up at Manning Gorge, where we set up camp for 2 nights. The road was a dream today, after being graded from Drysdale River Station south to the junction of the Gibb River Road. The Gibb River Road to Manning Gorge was also in pretty good nick.

Lunch was had on the side of the road at the Barnett River Crossing, this was really nice with the kids enjoying a swim.

Butter wouldn't melt in my mouth
A little further down the track is the Barnett River Roadhouse which is where we fueled up and paid for our camping at Manning River Gorge. The camp ground was okay, pretty busy though, but we managed to find a quiet little spot. After setting up, we all had a swim at beautiful water hole which is a short distance from our camp :)
