Cape Range NP - Day 108 (Thur Aug 8th)

We spent today in Cape Range NP, it was a magic day weather wise, and one that we all enjoyed.

We paid our entry fee of $11 per vehicle and headed to Yardie Creek first, which is at the end of the road. About 53km south west from Exmouth. After crossing Yardie Creek you exit the NP, and can follow the coast road to Ningaloo Station, and then onto Coral Bay. We sussed out the Yardie Creek crossing for our trip south to Ningaloo Station in 2 days time.  We will have no problems getting across, as the creek has filled with sand at the crossing.

We saw a million of these guys around this region

You can see behind me how the creek has filled with sand - it doesn't run out to sea at the moment

The lovely Turquoise Bay

This place is awesome isn't it sis?
Sure is

We checked out a lot of the camping grounds in the park today, and think Osprey Bay is the pick of the bunch. We stayed at Ned's camp 9 years ago, and liked it there as well, it's the closest to Exmouth which is good for getting supplies.

Oyster stacks is known for the best snorkeling and Turquoise Bay would have to be the prettiest and best for swimming if you don't mind crowds.  Although, today we were lucky enough to be there on a relatively quiet day.
